Empires In My Eyes
These almond eyes, kind of dreamy
you'd think I was sleepy
They see everything;
they hide nothing.
These eyes, the mysteries they hold
when cared for, are a sight to behold
So small, they might seem
look carefully, you'll see the oceans gleam.
Lashes thick and long
pulling you in like a siren's song
Stare into my eyes;
I'll show you heavenly skies.
The darkest of brown
hard to detect, however, is it's black crown
My eyes are my favorite part,
so I pay homage, work of art.
Not for how they make you feel
but for all the truths they still conceal.
P.S: also fr a contest.
